Women Build is a Habitat for Humanity International program that encourages women to make a difference by building homes and communities. Women Build programs provide an environment in which women can feel comfortable learning construction skills they might not otherwise have the opportunity to learn. Habitat for Humanity for San Luis Obispo County and Lowe’s in Paso Robles are teaming up with CK Builders Inc. to produce and promote Women Build for San Luis Obispo County.

Learning New Skills Women Build is not about excluding men; it is about including women. Habitat for Humanity's Women Build program enables women to discover for themselves that they can build.

Empowering Women for Good While women building together offers tremendous empowerment, the benefits go beyond the individuals to transform the lives of families and their communities. Women Build brings together women from all walks of life to actively address the problem of children in poverty.  Safe, decent housing is critical to a child's health and development. 

Impacting the Future of Families The need is great, but it can be met. Women Build challenges and empowers women to build safe, healthy housing where children can flourish.

Lowe's ® A Fortune 500 company with more than 58 years in the business of home improvement is the national underwriter of the Women Build Program.  Lowe's sponsors training opportunities for women by offering workshops for Habitat volunteers and women homeowners giving them hands on experience in basic construction techniques.
