The Art of Being Neighborly

When it comes to being a good neighbor, there are many profiles to describe that state of being.  Are you a good neighbor?  How do you know?  What makes a good neighbor?  Habitat for Humanity for San Luis Obispo County has put a lot of thought into this topic. The result is that a good neighbor adds to our experience as homeowners.  A good neighbor will put your dog back into the fence, move your trash cans off the road when you are on vacation, keep an eye on your property if you are out of town on business and just generally cares for the general welfare of the community space you have all invested in and share by proximity.

As we prepare for fall and the coming holiday seasons, needs will skyrocket, patience may plummet and the unexpected will interject into our pathways!  HFHSLOCO hopes you will take a moment to enjoy a gentle central coast breeze and remember that HOME is a word like neighbor that is hard to describe, different for each of us, but important to all.

Please remember us with a smile and if the spirit moves you, a gift.  Your cash donation is a gift for those folks who are still striving for a home of their own and the chance to be a good neighbor.
